Day 163 – Australia/Holland/Spain

We visited Holland when the tulips were in season and Queen’s Day was being celebrated. The country was all that I had hoped for and more. Amsterdam was shut down for the city wide celebration, the town was covered in orange, the queen’s color. When wandering the countryside we saw windmills and bought a pair of wooden shoes. In Spain we fell in love with Tapas, little plates of delicious delights, and bought a beautiful Lladro. Snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef was a once in a lifetime experience. Real Ugg’s, Merlino wool sweaters, and a painted boomerang came home with us.

Oh how I would love to go when the tulips are blooming… or go ever. Someday!
